Verkehrsschule Zug supports “Ein Bett für Obdachlose”
Every year, the team from Verkehrsschule Zug donates one percent of the traffic safety course income to charitable causes. In 2022, this amount will be 2,000 Swiss francs.
“Many people are probably not aware that there are people who are homeless here in our canton of Zug,” says Sven Meier, president of the Verkehrsschule Zug. It is therefore all the more important for the Verkehrsschule Zug to support the efforts of the “Ein Bett für Obdachlose” association.
The “Ein Bett für Obdachlose” association was delighted with this financial support. “We can make good use of the donation, for example to bridge the gap in the event of rent shortfalls,” said association president Klaus Hengstler.
“Ein Bett für Obdachlose” was founded in 2018 and is committed to helping people in the canton of Zug who live on the streets, live in public places or are without a place to stay. The purpose of the association is the provision and long-term financing of adequate, low-threshold accommodation for the homeless in the canton of Zug. Since 2019, the Reformed Church of Canton Zug has been a member of the association and actively supports it.
